Yuncheng No.2 Hospital is located in the north of the city, covering an area of 56.5 mu and a construction area of 19,000 square meters. It is a public first-class of second-level infectious disease specialized hospital characterized by liver diseases, tuberculosis and AIDS. It undertakes the diagnosis and treatment of various acute and chronic infectious diseases as well as public health emergencies’ treatment in the whole city and surrounding areas.

Established in 1972, Yuncheng No.2 Hospital has a history for about 50 years. Several generations of No.2 Hospital personnel have worked and explored hard in this hot land. In 2004, the fifth generation of leading collective took culture construction as an important means of hospital management. They put forward the spirit of “self-confidence, loyalty, diligence and professionalism” and the five strategies of “culture, talents, specialties, nursing and environment” to promote the rapid development of the hospital. On the basis of inheriting the hospital culture management mode, the new leading collective takes science and technology as another important mean. The orientation of the hospital is “main specialty and minor comprehensive”. The hospital has more than 370 employees, including 49 with senior titles and 113 with intermediate titles. It sets 300 beds and 33 departments of liver disease, tuberculosis, AIDS, internal medicine, surgery, spinal surgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, stomatology, bone microsurgery and pain treatment etc. Among them departments of liver disease, tuberculosis and AIDS are municipal key departments; spine joint department and hepatobiliary surgery department are hospital key departments.

The hospital is equipped with 16-slice spiral CT, 1.5T nuclear magnetic resonance, GE color Doppler, U.S. BECKMAN full-automatic biochemical analyzer, Australian RJ-3000PCR fluorescence quantitative instrument, Aikefa AGFA-CR digital image processing system, artificial liver support system, FSCIIY-A ascites ultrafiltration therapeutic instrument, Olympus electronic endoscope, Olympus electronic bronchoscope, etc. The equipment ensures the specialized diagnosis and treatment is in line with the domestic frontier.

Centered by the infectious disease specialty, the hospital has built advanced platform such as Siemens 1.5T nuclear magnetic resonance, 32-layer Philips CT and DR, LogE9E color Doppler, aiming to build first-class diagnosis and treatment of liver disease, tuberculosis and other infectious disease. Department of Liver Diseases: The department carries out detection of various viral hepatitis A, B, C, D and E, five quantitative hepatitis B (Roche), genotyping detection of hepatitis B and C, high-precision detection of hepatitis B and C virus, drug resistance detection of hepatitis B virus, liver hardness detection of Fibroscan, liver biopsy+ immunohistochemistry and serial detection of autoimmune liver diseases to ensure accurate diagnosis of various liver diseases.
